Walking Tour Dortmund-Kaiserviertel: Neighborhood full of exclusivity and charm
In recent decades, the area has become a popular residential area for the locals. This pleasant neighborhood is the heart of innovation within the industrial city of Dortmund, evident through its beautiful and lovingly restored old buildings which are now inhabited by a colorful community of all ages.

Starting out on Hellweg—an ancient trade route—the culinary city tour will pass Eagle Tower (where a mysterious skeleton was discovered) and detail what the district court has in common with Venice before continuing along past a fountain which was inaugurated in 1903.

Join us and together we’ll explore the cozy Kaiser Quarter with its small, owner-managed businesses and shops. Immerse yourself in the district and enjoy the warmth and inviting attitudes as you allow yourself to be inspired by our delicious tastings.

Tasty samples from the following locales:

  • a gourmet food shop
  • a traditional bakery
  • a 50’s diner
  • a vegan sushi restaurant
  • a refreshing ice cream parlor
  • a regional farm shop for city slickers
  • an Italian specialty store

For most, the food samples are enough to constitute a full lunch. Please inform us of any special dietary requirements (vegetarian, diabetic etc). We will try to tailor our tour accordingly.
Please Note: The tour is not suitable for vegans, people with lactose or gluten intolerance, or those with nut allergies.
