Walking Tour Cologne-Sülz: Between university and the greenbelt
Indulge in a culinary tour and explore the district of Sülz, which besides the areas of Cologne Nippes and Berlin Prenzlauer Berg, is Germany’s most heavily populated district in terms of children. Many young families currently live here in modern communities, and are surrounded by many green areas and two farmers’ markets.

Once a purely dominantly agricultural area, small businesses and factories began to settle in Sülz in the second half of the 19th century. A population influx followed shortly thereafter, thus giving way to a nice balance between living and working.

During this walking tour through Sülz, you'll learn more about the history, interesting buildings, and hidden gems of the city as you sample several different culinary specialties, and all while receiving select, coveted restaurant advice from our tour guides.

You will find an exciting range of culinary stations on your tour, such as:

  • a gourmet food store
  • a specialty factory
  • the smallest market hall in the world
  • a cafe with a special 60s flair
  • a life coaching café

For most, the food samples are enough to constitute a full lunch. Please inform us of any special dietary requirements (vegetarian, diabetic etc). We will try to tailor our tour accordingly.
Please Note: The tour is not suitable for vegans, people with lactose or gluten intolerance, or those with nut allergies.
