Sightseeing tour in Berlin

Berlin is Germany’s capital city, with 3.4 million inhabitants in 12 boroughs. The borough of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg is the most densely populated in Berlin, with 12,400 people squeezed into one square kilometre. Berlin has over 175 museums and more than 50 theatres, as well as in excess of 300 cinemas. There are 4650 restaurants in Berlin, around 900 pubs and 190 bars and nightclubs. In 2008, eat-the-world started the first culinary tour of Kreuzberg: our Kreuzberg-Tour. Our city tours in Berlin quickly became very popular. Dresden is the regional capital of the Free State of Saxony. Although a large part of Dresden was destroyed in 1945, the city is still well worth visiting. The Zwinger, the Semperoper and the Frauenkirche have all been rebuilt, but the city on the Elbe has a lot more to offer, both historically and culinarily. Sightseeing tour in Hamburg

Hamburg is Germany’s northernmost city. With its 1.8 million inhabitants, the Hansa city is the country’s second-largest. Hamburg’s unique appeal derives from a combination of being Europe’s third-largest port and one of the most important centres for media in Germany, as well as the reputation of the Reeperbahn, the ‘Sinful Mile’. With more than four million visitors each year, Hamburg is one of Germany’s most popular tourist destinations and therefore has much to offer in the way of sightseeing or events, such as in St. Pauli, along the Reeperbahn, at the Millerntor or in the Schanzenviertel. With a million inhabitants, Cologne is the largest city in North Rhine-Westphalia, and the fourth biggest in Germany. This carnival hotspot is home to many media companies, including several TV stations, music producers and publishing houses.  The Rhine also plays its part in making Cologne one of the most important transport hubs in Europe. eat-the-world offers a unique insight into Cologne’s Südstadt. On an eat-the-world food tour, you get to experience a sightseeing tour combined with a restaurant guide. Leipzig is one of the largest cities in the Free State of Saxony, with over half a million inhabitants. Historically, Leipzig has been a centre for printing and book selling, and also has a great musical tradition going back to Johann Sebastian Bach and Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy in particular. Food tours around Leipzig therefore present the perfect way to explore the city close up. Leipzig’s Südvorstadt is very popular, which is largely down to its greenery and proximity to the city centre, along with its old buildings. Munich is the capital of the Free State of Bavaria and Germany’s third-largest city, with around 1.35 million inhabitants. Münster lies in the heart of the beautiful Münsterland and is one of Germany’s largest university cities. Münster is known as a city of cyclists, as well as being famous for its historic Old Town.
