City Tour Erfurt-Old Town: Trip through the medieval scenery of the city that has remained young
Erfurt, one of the oldest cities in Germany, has been able to preserve a great deal of its historic appearance and yet presents itself to its visitors in a modern and cosmopolitan way. Join us on a culinary adventure through narrow streets, walk through magnificent squares and enjoy the unique ensemble of two churches above the city.

Find out which progressive ideas were born in Erfurt, which led to a change of the Christian world. Let us explain why "blau machen" is self-evident in Erfurt and why the famous "Puffbohne" is an Erfurtian.

You will find an exciting range of culinary stations on your tour, such as:

  • a specialty store that offers a local delicacy
  • a sweet speciality from Bohemia
  • a delicatessen with Italian specialties
  • a restaurant with typical Thuringian cuisine
  • a vegetarian bistro
  • an ice cream shop
  • a café with panoramic views

For most, the food samples are enough to constitute a full lunch. Please inform us of any special dietary requirements (vegetarian, diabetic etc). We will try to tailor our tour accordingly.
Please Note: The tour is not suitable for vegans, people with lactose or gluten intolerance, or those with nut allergies.
