Walking Tour Muenster-Hafen: Erpho-, Hansa- and the Harbor District
Take a stroll with us through the Erphoviertel – a residential district largely populated by the wealthy and find out what links this district with Eastern European trade.
The tour continues on to the Hansaviertel, also known as ‘Klein Muffi’ (Little Muffi), where harbor workers were once housed. Around the district’s main artery, the Hansaring, we’ll discover the colorful diversity of today’s ‘Muffikaner.’
To top it off, we’ll end our tour with a visit to Muenster’s harbor. Formerly an important supply lifeline for the whole of Westphalia, the harbor is now a trendy district also known as ‘Kreativkai’ (Creative Key). Here, we’ll take you to renovated storehouses, pubs in old warehouses and be carried away by the area’s vibrant culture.
During this food tour, you will learn something about Muenster's history, architecture and diverse entertainment options. You will be able to try various culinary specialties and uncover Muenster's secrets.
Delicious food samples from:
- a traditional bakery in the heart of Westphalia
- a cozy Spanish tapas restaurant
- a trendy bagel café
- a modern American diner
- a hip café in the Hafen Quarter
- a Tex-Mex restaurant in the "Kreativkai"
- an exquisite harbor coffee bar
For most, the food samples are enough to constitute a full lunch. Please inform us of any special dietary requirements (vegetarian, diabetic etc). We will try to tailor our tour accordingly.
Please Note: The tour is not suitable for vegans, people with lactose or gluten intolerance, or those with nut allergies.
