Walking Tour Essen-Rüttenscheid:
Discover this traditional and unique neighborhood
Join us on our culinary city tour through Rüttenscheid, a trendy district known for its liveliness and diversity. Take a walk down Rüttenscheider Street, or as Esseners affectionately call the “Rü”, which extends for more than two kilometers and contains many exciting side streets.
Cultural institutions like theaters and museums as well as a vibrant shopping area make Rüttenscheid a neighborhood with many possibilities. It is also an area for creative development, as demonstrated by the high concentration of designers, gallery owners, and architects. The district is both worked in and lived in and has many inviting parks. Even by just taking a short walk through Rüttenscheid, you’ll notice how the area is full of life.
Discover the district with nationally-known shops and an exceptionally wide array of dining establishments. Learn more about its history, architecture, and entertainment while experiencing its diverse culinary offerings.
