Walking Tour Dresden-Altstadt: Florence on the Elbe—from traditional to modern
The Italian city of Florence, located on the banks of the Arno, was the model for the 16th century Saxon capital of Dresden. Once can see parallels between the cities through the architecture, art, and lifestyle. In both cities, tourism plays a major role, attracting major art exhibitions from people all over the world. In the two cities, good food and drink is also celebrated!
Despite the devastation from the Second World War, Dresden has once again become a beautiful city, one of the most livable in Germany. The old town offers a variety of historical buildings, theaters, and museums. We will take you on a culinary tour of the city, and offer various Saxon culinary specialties and modern interpretations that illustrate the traditions of the city.
During our stroll through Dresden’s old town interior, you’ll learn about the sights, history, and architecture of the area. We’ll also tell you about some great entertainment that can be seen here. You’ll taste a variety of culinary samples and discover the stories of Dresden.
Delicious food samples from:
