Ottensen-Tour

Nordic and cordial
Today, the working class district formerly known as Mottenburg is very trendy and is in great demand. Many pubs, charming restaurants and a broad cultural offering ensure colourful goings-on. In this village-like district, become acquainted with the geniality of the supposedly reserved people of Hamburg.

Our tour begins at Altona station in Ottensen, which was occupied for a long time by the Danes, and leads you through small, winding streets to the port, which is the second largest in Europe by the way. We will show you the locals’ favourite places, long-established gastronomic establishments and secret culinary tips. Here was the beginning of smuggling, ship’s propellers were invented, cigars rolled and women’s rights were fought for. Come with us on a fascinating walk and discover Ottensen’s culinary world for yourself.

During the tour of Ottensen, you will learn about its history, architecture and will receive attractive offers of entertainment. You will be able to try various different culinary specialities and uncover Ottensen's secrets. Get to know Hamburg through its food, culture and people.
