Our new tour in Schwabing and Maxvorstadt

Last week we had our dress rehearsal of the new tour in Munich Schwabing. Almost all of the Munich team came together to learn about the tour and to work on your final details. The first tour will take place this Sunday, and from then on, then every Sunday and Thursday at 11 clock. Today we give you a brief insight into our new culinary tour of Schwabing in the dress rehearsal last week.

The Schwabing tour begins at the Royal Palace in Glypthothek, one of the most beautiful buildings in this historic place. After a brief introduction, it was then already in the Glyptothek (Thank you for cooperation!) And in the courtyard hiding our first culinary station. Good news for all who come hungry to the total tour: Here is the first hunger quenched. The Passenger Diner nut sections is a tough one, of course, self-made, powerful and delicious.

Angela takes us back out there, our coordinator of Munich, bordered by streets of museums. Maxvorstadt is indeed the "brains of Munich", and here you do see a bit of why this is so. We feast on through this district Maxvorstadt and culinary surprises with original concepts. It's an artists' café in a courtyard, a specialty store for chocolates, a restaurant with bar and into an extraordinary snack, where the lower photo was taken.

Slowly we are approaching the legendary district of Schwabing, and thus, is often mentioned together with Munich. Earlier artists lived here, then came the crowd and rents rose. What is life like there today? We discover chic Art Nouveau facades, an old established vegetarian restaurant, the former location of the Bavarian cult series of the 80s Monaco Franze (his film studio) and a French pastry shop. Do you remember at Monaco Franze? Here is a short excerpt in which he speaks of the "Bavarian man through the ages." He says for example: "Now Passens time to miss, now I tell them honestly what is at stake. I need - so I need a literary historical underpinnings of my justification respectively thoroughly unsound lifestyle ":

The Schwabing-way trip starts this Sunday for the first time officially - knock on wood to the Munich team! For us it was then back out of the hotel in Munich and returned to the Berlin office. We are very pleased to meet the entire team in Munich and of course the delicious and exciting Schwabing tour !
