Right now is the time to enjoy warm summer evenings. The other day I was again at my aunt to visit (by the way, always serves up the most delicious food) and began at dusk on the terrace of a famous buzzing around us - mosquitoes! Fortunately, my aunt always knows advice when it comes to good home remedy. As you sip on the recovery of various cold symptoms ever raw eggs or warm onion juice ;-) But do not worry, the home remedies for insect protection are completely harmless, at least for us humans ...

Carnations
Do you have at home clove, a spice or oil? So you already have a good home remedy against mosquitoes that do not like this smell. Take either clove in your hands, stay away from the right on the table or in your pocket and the mosquitoes. Easy and very good. If you have clove oil, you can also leave open, to spread the smell or light a candle and drip on the fire. Other oils such as lavender, eucalyptus, cinnamon, catnip, anise or camphor should be helpful.

Plant
Here one can draw on unlimited resources. Besiege your windowsill or patio with lemon balm, mint Arabic, tomatoes or scented geraniums. These odors should also keep the insects away.

Sage
Grind you salvia leaves and burn them in a fireproof dish. The leaves smolder slowly to himself and quite spicy smell keeps away the mosquitoes.

If it still managed to have a mosquito in your neighborhood and stabbed, then helps to cure mosquito bites:

  • an onion in half and squeeze the open side on the mosquito bite. Usually brings the sulfur oil the onion cry, but this has also anti-inflammatory
  • Heat: press a cloth with hot water, eg on the spot

Good luck with mosquito repellent and of course a great summer!

  1. why, just says:

3 people in my family have an allergy to mosquito bites and I am one of them. As a little tip I can only say that cloves help really great. The little bloodsuckers like the smell at all. Among the other proposals, I can not say anything, but I'll try it. Best greetings
