Documentary "Neukölln Unlimited"
Posted by Elke Freimuth under culture Yesterday ran in the open air cinema Hasenheide Berlin the moving documentary " Neukölln Unlimited "and gave the open-air cinema, the previous best attendance of the season. Since we have our office in Neukölln and I still live here, that fact alone, I had a great interest in the film. Also in attendance were the two directors and two protagonists who responded to audience questions after the film. So I could even ask the protagonists Akkouch Hassan after his favorite dish.
About the movie: For years, the directors Agostino Imondi and Dietmar Ratsch the Lebanese family in Berlin-Neukölln with the camera. The family lives with the daily fear of deportation. For talented children künsterlisch Hassan (18), Lial (19) and Maradona (14), who grew up in Neukölln, is their "homeland" of Lebanon, a foreign country. So try the brothers Hassan and Lial to secure the livelihood of the family to remain in the country legally allowed. You immerse yourself in a more exciting and fascinating life, because the camera is always there, at home, to the authorities, at the Battles dance and song performances.
After the movie I asked Hassan to one of his favorite dishes, and his answer was: "Fasulye," an Arab white bean stew. The Internet provides to so many recipes that I wanted to post here no special recipe. It is best to come to Neukölln to eat it here ;-)
Incidentally, the film due to the great interest shown again in the open air cinema Hasenheide.
